Big-name celebrity scorches ‘harlot’ that Trump admin is ‘dressing up and trolloping out every day’

Popular comedienne Chelsea Handler prides herself on being a “feminist,” but you might not know it from her eye-popping, scorching ridicule of White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders during which Handler called President Trump’s spokeswoman a “whore.”

“That harlot that they are dressing up and trolloping out every day?” Handler, who hosts the Netflix show “Chelsea,” told Clinton lawyer and crisis manager Lanny Davis during her Dec. 1 show. “I mean, one day she has no makeup on at all. The next, she’s got six-foot-long eyelashes, cleavage and summer whore lipstick all over her face.”

Handler continued with her attack: “Can you believe what they’re turned her into? A proper trollop.”

In reality, Sanders routinely appears at White House press briefings wearing professional, jewel-toned blouses and suits that show little or no cleavage, her signature strand of pearls, neatly coiffed hair and natural shades of lipstick.

But it’s not the first time leftists have viciously trashed Sanders based primarily on her physical appearance.

Just last month – despite his acknowledgement that Sanders does a good job as press secretary – a Los Angeles Times columnist called Sanders a “slightly chunky soccer mom.”

In fact, Times columnist David Horsey, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, wrote that Sanders, a mother of three children, was an unlikely choice for the position of press secretary because President Trump tends to prefer “sleek beauties with long legs and stiletto heels,” like his wife Melania and daughter Ivanka.

“By comparison, Sanders looks more like a slightly chunky soccer mom who organizes snacks for the kids’ games,” Horsey snarled. “Rather than the fake eyelashes and formal dresses she puts on for her news briefings, Sanders seems as if she’d be more comfortable in sweats and running shoes.”

After even Democrats blasted Horsey for his unfair critique of Sanders, he amended his column with an apology “for a description that was insensitive and failed to meet the standards of our newspaper.”

Perhaps unsurprisingly to some, the left-leaning Washington Post recently piled on when Sanders was spotted trying to stay warm in a borrowed U.S. Army Ranger jacket. Sanders had been speaking to reporters about President Trump’s canceled trip to the Demilitarized Zone between North Korea and South Korea in November. She explained that “it was really cold” and an Army Ranger made an “incredibly nice” gesture by offering her his jacket.

Nonetheless, Post reporter Robin Givham called the fashion choice “jarring” and launched into a bizarre, multi-paragraph analysis of the jacket and Sanders’ pearls:

As Sanders stood swaddled in the Army jacket, one could just make out her familiar strand of pearls. Camo and pearls — war and grace, chaos and civility — is the sort of opposites-attract pairing that would be at home in a fashion shoot in which a concept is burnished and refined until it presents a mood or an emotion wholly detached from any facts. It’s a visual storytelling technique that is not unique to fashion, although Seventh Avenue does it especially well. But the political machine is equally adept at selling a heightened or contorted reality. …

Sanders accessorizes her ensembles with a signature strand of prim pearls, sensible block heels . . . and dramatic eyelashes. Her face is made up for an HD television close-up, because no matter how homespun her stories, how safely eccentric her costumes or how dubious her message, everything goes down easier with a little Hollywood gloss. Mythmaking is in the details — and the eyelashes. …

But slipping on military anything that does not belong to you, is a decision to be made cautiously and deliberately, particularly when cameras are present and everything from one’s words to one’s gestures are part of an official message. It’s one thing to run around in one of fashion’s many military-inspired jackets — it’s a look, an attitude, a provocative or artful gesture. But the real thing brings with it a weight of some significance. It is official. It is earned. It comes with high expectations.

Another leftist compared Sanders to Adolf Hitler due to her defense of President Trump. His headline, published in Wonkette, was, “Go f–k yourself, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, you debased redneck motherf–ker.”

The left’s attacks on Sanders are reminiscent of its brutal assaults on former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin over the last decade. Even former “Late Night” host David Letterman, who confessed to having sex with his female staffers while he was married, called Palin “slutty” and made rape jokes about her teen daughter. In 2012, Palin’s tour bus was vandalized with a sign that said “media whore.” And comedian Jon Stewart publicly ripped her as a “crazy person.”

In a post on the Town Hall Patriots, Robin, a self-described “recovering liberal” and a licensed psychotherapist, explained why the left ridicules Palin and women like her. Aside from jealousy and brainwashing, Robin explained, “there’s a darker reason for the abject hatred”:

[E]vil can manifest when people project their own badness and shame onto another.

People on the left hate Palin for one simple reason: because she is everything they are not. She is their polar opposite because her life journey has diverged from the prescribed liberal path.

Palin was raised to be self-sufficient and independent since “idle hands are the devil’s tools.” Little Sarah was up at the crack of dawn, hunting with her dad; in sharp contrast, liberal kids like me were still fast asleep.

Palin didn’t have life handed to her on a silver platter, like so many in the ruling class. Instead, Sarah balanced school, chores, jobs, and sports. While liberal girls like me were glued to the boob tube, Sarah had no time for sloth.

Palin attended church with her family on Sundays. On Sunday morning, young liberals like me were recovering from Saturday night.

From her devout Christian upbringing, Sarah learned to be a good girl. In contrast, I learned everything I needed to know about how to be a modern girl from the monthly Playboy Magazine, which was conspicuously displayed on our living room table.

Sarah dated and then married her high school sweetheart; I learned that my body was a commodity that I “owned.” And I could use my body — and allow it to be used — to temporarily still the pangs of loneliness. …

Leftists loathe Palin because she has retained something that was stripped from them years ago: a wholesomeness, a purity of heart. People on the left despise Palin because she shines a bright light on their shame and unworthiness, which they try desperately to deny.

The progressives, like that brutal gang of abandoned girls, want to drag Palin down into the gutter with them; they want to spoil her. Of course, their efforts will be futile; Palin is fueled by a Spirit that isn’t simply her own.

The left knows only how to point fingers, and threaten, and menace. Why? They are lost, abandoned children as well; they have shunned the only Force who could wash them clean and bring them home again.

And it’s possible the same explanation applies to the left’s condemnation of Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a favorite of evangelicals and a pastor who preached for 12 years in Arkansas pulpits before he ran for political office.

Sanders, who has a close relationship with her father, grew up in a tight-knit family and worked as a field coordinator and political director for his campaigns for governor and president.

She is happily married to GOP campaign consultant Bryan Sanders and has three children.

And now Sanders is making history as the first working mother to hold the position of White House press secretary.

But perhaps Handler — who announced she is ending her show to become “a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen” and focus on political activism — might take a bit of her own advice.

In a December 2016 essay calling on women to support one another after Hillary Clinton’s election loss, headlined “We have a problem with women supporting women,” a more supportive side of Handler emerged.

“Find women that are different than you and figure out the things you have in common. We have a whole generation of girls who are looking at us to see how we treat each other,” Handler wrote. “Let’s show them what the power of being a woman really looks like. Let’s open our arms to each other, and to them.”
